Nadia Mukami, a Kenyan musician, has been crowned the Queen of Music in East Africa. Yep! This comes after the artist received the Afrimma Award for Best Female Artist in Kumukiya.

Mukami competed for the award in 2023 alongside Tanzanian singers Zuchu and Maua Sama.

Mukami praised her admirers for their support and named herself queen in a post-victory statement.

"THE BEST FEMALE ARTIST IN EAST AFRICA @afrimma 2023!! WE WOOOON🇰🇪. Thank you @afrimma," Mukami wrote.

Fans applauded her, noting that this is the year she has put the most effort into her songs.

It should be noted that Nadia has also been nominated for the Trace Awards, which will be presented in Kigali for the first time in Africa.
