You would have to part with over ksh 12 million to own the famous hat that legendary singer Michael Jackson wore during his moonwalk dance.
The moonwalk dance hat sold for 77,640 euros at an auction in Paris on Tuesday. The Hotel Drouot auction house had estimated the black fedora at 60,000 (Ksh.9.4 million) to 100,000 (Ksh.15.6 million) euros.
It was the highlight of about 200 items of rock memorabilia, though the highest price was 129,400 euros for a guitar owned by famed bluesman T-Bone Walker.
At the height of his fame, Jackson pulled off his cap when breaking into his smash "Billie Jean" during a televised Motown concert 1983.

Moments later, he demonstrated what would become his signature move: the moonwalk, an apparently easy reverse glide while walking forward.
The legendary singer died in 2009 at the height of his career. The autopsy also validated what had been suspected for years regarding Michael's ever-changing skin hue.
He said his light complexion was caused by vitiligo, a skin disorder that causes patches of lost pigmentation.
The singer has been making headlines recently after claims that he sexually assaulted young boys. Both in their forties, Wade Robson and James Safechuck have accused Jackson of molesting them as children. They claim that the abuse occurred over several years when they were minors.
A lawyer for Jackson's estate, Jonathan Steinsapir, voiced confidence in Jackson's innocence. He claims the allegations are "contrary to all credible evidence and independent corroboration."
