Since her sincere admission on Sunday, October 1, in which she acknowledged that she had been covertly battling with emotional difficulties and personal hardships, Kenyan musician and entrepreneur Akothee has attracted attention.
Akothee's open admission comes four months after keen-eyed followers noted her husband, Denis Schweizer, was conspicuously absent from her social media platforms, leading to rumors of a potential divorce.
Akothee revealed that she had experienced a horrible event that had left her unsettled and unstable emotionally.
She said that while upholding her public persona, her family, and her business, she went days without eating or sleeping and questioned herself.

"I started by monitoring my behaviors. I realised I was breaking down quite often for no reason, even just a simple interview. I had become emotionally unstable, and I couldn't put a finger on it. I never knew about emotional abuse until I started therapy," Akothee revealed.
Akothee also mentioned that she had sought therapy to address her emotional state.
"I have come out of a very dangerous zone and have been healing in private. I am in my second month of therapy. The trauma I went through after finding out the truth and some ugly stuff that left me shaking," she said.
Akothee's close friends and family have responded to her revelation by expressing their undying support and encouragement as she navigates this challenging chapter of her life.
Akothee's resilience and strength were praised in a moving message of support from Senator Karen Nyamu.

Rue Baby, Akothee's kid, emphasized the significance of personal development and healing through trying times.
She stressed that one grows more robust and better during the healing process. Rue promised Akothee they would always be there for her, adding, "And we will always be here for you, my love."
Millie Odhiambo Mabona, an MP for Suba North, offered Akothee her spiritual support while highlighting the grit that comes with God's grace.
She commended Akothee for having the bravery to admit her problems and ask for help.
Akothee was also given praise on his appearance by Millie, who said, "Meanwhile, you look good."
