President William Ruto has announced that Germany has pledged to support Kenya’s mission to Haiti and peace in the Horn of Africa.

Ruto is currently on a 4-day visit to Germany and Belgium,  where he has held talks with Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz.

Speaking on X, formerly Twitter, the head of state said that he lad talks with Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz, who pledged to support Kenya’s mission to Haiti and peace in the Horn of Africa, on the sidelines of the “G20 Compact with Africa” conference in Berlin.



Further, he said that the foreign trips are purely for the economic benefit of the country, is also expected to meet Belgium Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, later during his trip to the European Country.

Ruto stated that his overseas trips are necessary for his delivery as the Head of State, for they have attracted direct foreign investments to boost the country’s economy.

The G20 Compact with Africa conference aims to help bolster private investment in the world’s poorest but fast-growing continent.
