A patient has been successfully evacuated from a stranded ambulance to a nearby hospital following heavy rains that rendered some roads impassable due to sticky mud and flash floods in Garrisa County.
Speaking on X, Emergency Plus Medical Services (E-Plus) revealed that emergency medical services were disrupted after two of its six ambulances got stuck in Hulugho and Balambala.
“Notably, a patient from the Hulugho ambulance was safely evacuated to a nearby hospital. Our persistent efforts to extract the ambulances from the mud continue,” it said.
Further, E-Plus said the Bangal to Garissa road closure in the Tula area compounded the issue, leaving the rescue service at a standstill.
