A Makadara Law Courts official has been detained for allegedly seeking a Ksh.400,000 bribe to hasten the printing and issue of Court Proceedings about the complainant's court file.
Abdifatah Mahumud Hassan, a court assistant, was caught by police after accepting Ksh.50,000 of the requested amount.
"At the time of the arrest, he had received and downpayment of Kes.50,000 and was due to receive the balance when detectives pounced," EACC said in a statement.

The suspect is detained at the Kilimani Police Station. He is scheduled to be processed at the EACC Police Station today before being arraigned.
