Two pupils from Eldoret’s Central Primary School aged thirteen and five drowned while crossing the Kapsoya Primary School bridge on Monday following flash floods in the area.
A police report filed on Tuesday, the students, one in Grade IV and the other in Grade I, were on their way home from school when tragedy struck.
“A multi-agency team comprising the Uasin Gishu Fire Marshals, the police, and Lochab rescue team recovered the bodies near state lodge 800 Meters from the initial scene.”
Further, the report revealed that the bodies were moved to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) mortuary for an autopsy to validate the circumstances of the deaths.
