A Murkan police post police officer is accused of hitting and killing an 84-year-old man who was seated outside a shop at Murkan Trading Center in Emurua Dikirr in Narok County.
According to Trans Mara East sub-county police boss Boniface Kavoo, the deceased immediately succumbed to injuries from the accident.
The officer sustained minor injuries and was rushed to Emurua Dikirr medical facility while the body of the deceased was moved to Longisa Hospital mortuary.
Given the distance between the road and the location where the elderly guy was sitting, a boda boda rider who saw the incident and requested anonymity claimed the officer was driving carelessly.
The head of police promised to uphold the law and all due procedure.
