Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga has endorsed the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) Vice President Faith Odhiambo’s bid for the society’s presidency.
Odinga met with Odhiambo on Wednesday with lawyers Paul Mwangi, Julie Soweto, and Dan Maanzo.
In a statement, Odinga praised Odhiambo for her dedication to promoting Kenya's rule of law and good governance.
“I wish her all the best and she has my full support,” Odinga said.
On her part, Odhiambo shared her appreciation for Odinga’s endorsement, implying she could become the first female LSK President in elections slated for Thursday.

“Honored by and deeply grateful for the emphatic endorsement by Raila Odinga in our bid for a Stable Progressive Bar. History is on the horizon,” she stated.
The LSK Vice President is one of the five candidates vying to succeed Eric Theuri, whose term ends in March 2024 after succeeding Nelson Havi in March 2022.
Serving as the LSK Vice President since 2022, she has been vocal about the challenges facing the legal fraternity and the judiciary.
She will be facing Odhiambo Faith Mony Aoko, Daudi Carolyne Kamende, Manyonge Peter Wanyama, Mboce Harriet Njoki, and Ng’etich Bernhard Kipkoech in Thursday’s election.
