Sixteen passengers are nursing cuts and bruises at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) after a Nissan matatu veered off the road and landed in a ditch at Kisian along the Kisumu-Busia highway.
The Saturday evening accident happened as the vehicle got into Kisumu from the Busia direction.
This occurred a day after a Mombasa-bound bus collided with a fuel tanker in the Mundika area in Busia County, killing two people and injuring five other people on Friday.
