Two people have died after drowning in dams in separate incidents in Uasin Gishu County.
In the first instance, a male domestic worker is said to have drowned while trying to rescue a sheep that had fallen into the dam in the Kimuri area.
On the other hand, in the Cheptiret area, a man is said to have removed his clothes and entered the dam despite it being flooded.
Confirming the incidents, Uasin Gishu County fire department head, Wanyama Sitati said they had removed the bodies of the deceased to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary in Eldoret.
He further urged residents to be cautious and avoid flooded areas during this rainy season.
