Over 800 people have been evacuated in Indonesia's North Sulawesi province after the Ruang volcano erupted, spewing lava and ash clouds into the sky for days.
The volcano on Ruang island, some 100 kilometers (62 miles) from the province capital, Manado, has erupted more than three times since Tuesday.
Following the increasing activity, authorities elevated the warning level to the second highest, Heruningtyas Desi Purnamasari, an official at Indonesia's Centre for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG), told Reuters.

Mt. Ruang's eruption was sparked by recent earthquakes on the island. The summit generated hazardous and "explosive hot clouds" as high as 1.8 kilometers.
Reuters captured footage of crimson lava flowing down the mountain, mirrored in the waterways below, and billowing clouds of grey ash over the crater.
According to Heruningtyas, Ruang island has around 838 people, the most of whom have been evacuated to Tagulandang, the neighbouring island.
Indonesia is located in the so-called "Pacific Ring of Fire," a seismically active area surrounded by many tectonic plate boundaries.
