Police have detained a suspect in possession of an endangered Pangolin, a protected wildlife species, who now faces a five-year prison sentence or a Kes 3 million fine.
Appearing before Kabarnet Principal Magistrate Caroline Ateya on Monday, Nicodemus Langat was charged under the Wildlife Conservation and Management Act of 2013.
According to the DPP's office, the prosecution lined up four witnesses and proved the case against the accused through exhibits and testimonies.
