According to the Kenya Red Cross Society, two people are feared dead, while several others are feared trapped following a landslide in the Kimende area of Kiambu county.
The landslide occurred in the Matathia area of Lari constituency following heavy rains in recent weeks.
The Kenya Red Cross said it had dispatched an action team shortly after learning of the incident.
This comes as the death toll from severe weather in the nation has risen to 289 casualties, with 188 individuals sustaining severe injuries.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Interior on Tuesday, 75 individuals are still unaccounted for, while 57,120 households have been displaced.

The floods have also affected around 285,600 people.
Moreover, 412,336 others have been affected by the ongoing heavy rains in specific regions of the country.
Further, the Ministry revealed that 100 schools had failed to reopen at the start of the second term due to significant damage caused by the floods.
Among these, 73 are primary schools, while 27 are secondary schools.
“Some of the schools that have been adversely affected by the heavy rains and flooding will have their opening delayed as the National and County MultiAgency teams ensure that repairs are done to create a safe environment for students to resume learning.”
The reopening of schools follows the presidential directive by President William Ruto, who told schools to resume classes on Monday.
