Harriet Kavere explains that the disease is transmitted when one shakes hands with the person who has it, adding that even sleeping on the same bed the patient slept on, touching clothes they used, and using the same makeup can get you infected.
She has advised individuals who experience the symptoms to seek medical assistance immediately.
Kavere has also called for local leaders and government administrators, particularly chiefs and their assistants, to help educate the public about the disease and how to control it.
"We need to create a lot of awareness about the disease among our people so that it doesn't spread further."
