Police officers have recovered the body of a 66-year-old man who died after falling from a tree in Rarieda, Siaya County.
Bernard Ogola Midika died as a result of the event at the Siger sub-location in West Asembo.
“The man is said to have climbed the tree to trim its branches when he slipped and fell,” locals said.

According to accounts, Midika was working as a farm helper at the house of Stephen Onyango Awidhi.
Siaya County Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo stated that the area's Assistant Chief Moses Ombewa reported the event.
He further stated that the deceased got major head injuries in the process.
"The man's body was found two days after his fall by a herder," police stated.
The deceased's body was brought to Matangwe Funeral Home to await postmortem.
