A 14-year-old girl has been rescued after accidentally falling into a pit latrine in Ahero town, Nyando sub-county.
According to reports, the teen girl had gone to the toilet when she accidentally fell into the pit latrine.
Tura Sub-location Assistant Chief Lillian Otieno claims the situation worsened when the toilet slab fell on her.
According to Chief Otieno, police personnel and villagers in Ahero utilized an exhauster to aid in rescuing her.
