Narok Senator Ledama Olekina has encouraged Kenyans to actively participate in the ongoing protests against the proposed 2024 Finance Bill. According to several sources, the prominent politician utilized various social media platforms to express his backing for the demonstrations opposing the bill. He underscored the importance of allowing Kenyans the freedom to protest under President William Ruto's administration.



The prominent politician reiterated that the government should avoid using the police to arrest Kenyans and emphasized the importance of not shutting down the internet before the planned Finance Bill protests. He also denied allegations that he had proposed a bill to authorize government collaboration with politicians.

According to Narok Senator Ledama Olekina, the actions were conducted by the police, not the IMF. In other developments, the Azimio la Umoja Coalition has called for the resignation of Inspector General of Police Japhet following the deaths of two individuals in Nairobi during protests against the proposed 2024 Finance Bill.
