Outraged Kenyans have done their investigation into a rogue police officer they believe is responsible for firing live bullets at peaceful anti-finance bill protesters in Nairobi's Central Business District.

The police officer, dressed in a black cap, blue shirt, and grey trousers, is seen shooting his gun at a throng that was waiting patiently as he and his colleagues loaded arrested protestors into their vehicle.

The video was initially shared on TikTok and then circulated across all other internet platforms, showing police officers using physical force during the anti-Finance Bill rallies.

In the video uploaded by Brian Robin, the police and his colleagues had held many demonstrators inside the van and were ready to depart when the rogue police chose to open fire on them.

Kenyans are calling for the police officer to be arrested and the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) to investigate the incident.

Furthermore, Kenyans published personal information about the rogue police online, including his name, phone number, wife's name, and the year he joined the police force.

“It's another day that IPOA has done nothing about the rogue cop. I am so mad at bureaucracy because we've all seen the videos and evidence, but he's still roaming free. Imagine what he's doing in private.”

“We demand hasty arrest and detainment of the rogue cop. His acts are direct portrayal of a crime against humanity.”

Human rights groups have accused the government of extrajudicial executions, reporting over 20 deaths and hundreds of injuries.
