Amnesty International Kenya is among the parties concerned about Haile’s arrest. The rights organisation on Saturday said an OCS at the station had denied a bail or bond request.
CNN Journalist Larry Madowo said Haile had been detained for the third day as of Sunday.
My friend Yoeal Haile, an American tourist, is still being held at Upper Hill/Capitol Hill police station in Nairobi without charge for the 3rd day now. That’s longer than the law allows.
