Kotex Kenya has come out to deny allegations of a partnership made by controversial politician Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu.
The statement comes after Karen Nyamu posted on her social media that her foundation plans to work with the company to provide sanitary towels to needy schoolgirls.
"Na juu ya hio story My foundation has had a series of meetings with @kotexkenya to negotiate on a good deal so that we supply free tampons in schools particularly in our slums n im soo excited 💃🏼💃🏼" She posted

"i notice there’s a lot of misreading when it comes to hio tuvitu n i will be teaching girls in nairobi who are interested how to use tampons aka bullets. and since you don’t feel them at all on those days it will make you focus more on school 💃🏼" She added.
In a message on its social media accounts, Kotex denied Nyamu's claims, saying that they do not engage in political affiliations.
"Kotex hereby confirms that no discussions or conversations have taken place with Karen Nyamu. Any assertions regarding a prospective partnership involving Kotex are entirely false.Our commitment remains steadfast in championing women's progress for all Kenyans. We emphasize that Kotex does not engage in political affiliations or endorsements." they posted.
"We maintain our dedication to transparency and accuracy in all communications." they added.
