Kuresoi North MP Alfred Mutai says he does not regret supporting the finance bill because it would have brought development to the area.

He criticized the people of Molo for storming and burning the residence of MP Kuria Kimani because they supported the controversial Finance Bill 2024.

"Right now the Molo MP cannot hold a rally like this one. I voted Yes na siombi msamaha. Because I knew that Yes would bring this road, that Yes would bring development here," Mutai said.

He cautioned Molo constituents that they would regret assaulting their MP and rejecting the Finance Bill, alleging they would not profit from the development.

"If there is a constituency that has really benefited, then it is Molo constituency. There is no bad road in Molo, every part of Molo has power connectivity. But if destroying their MP's property is how they give back, ole wao!" Mutai asserted.

He further stated that if Molo residents do not want their MP to chair the National Assembly Finance Committee, President Ruto may "hand it to the Kuresoi constituency because they are ready for development."

Mutai warned that the recent cleansing prayers held by clerics at Kuria's house will have repercussions for the perpetrators.

"We condemn the attack and pray that the cleansing will do something to those who destroyed Kuria's property. Why steal chicken and cattle, and burn cars?" he quipped.

Kuria Kimani is one of the MPs whose houses and property were assaulted and destroyed by furious Kenyans because they supported the Finance Bill.
