Police officers in Homa Bay County have initiated an inquiry into the brutal murder of a 20-year-old man who was coming from a funeral.
Kevin Misuku, a resident of Ramula Location, was attacked by unidentified people on his way home on Saturday night.
Misuku was sliced in the neck by attackers with machetes and other crude weapons.
Area chief Judith Ayodo stated that the victim was leaving for home with his pals, who managed to escape from the attackers.

The chief said that three suspects have been detained in connection with the murder and are being held at the Othoro police station for additional questioning.
The deceased's body was transported to Jawabu mortuary for a post-mortem.
