Kenchic has unveiled Kenbeef, a new line of premium beef cuts, including ribeye and sirloin, and processed beef items such as sausages, burger patties, and boerewors.
Speaking during the launch, Kenchic Managing Director Jim Tozer stated that Kenbeef highlights the firm’s commitment to innovation and sustainable growth, recognizing the rising demand for quality beef nationwide.
“We are excited to introduce Kenbeef, products available at all leading supermarkets, convenience stores, and Kenchic butcheries,” he said.
According to the Kenya Market Trust survey, Kenya consumes approximately 15 kilograms of beef per person annually or around 648,000 metric tons.
Despite local production capacity being only 300,000 metric tons, the demand for high-quality beef continues to rise, underscoring the need for accessible and superior beef products.
