Police have arrested a 16-year-old boy accused of killing his 55-year-old grandfather by hitting him with a blunt object in the Kwangewa area of Machakos county.
According to police, the boy who has been detained at the Ithanga police station is also accused of injuring his uncle with the same blunt object before attempting to set their house on fire.
Confirming the incident, Kakuzi sub-county police commander Thomas Mong'are said the boy is said to have gone on the run, naked after committing the crime, but was arrested at Kwangewa shopping center and handed over to police.
The deceased had been moved to Ndithini Mission Hospital mortuary
