A Singapore Airlines flight landing at Japan's Narita Airport temporarily closed a runway on Monday after reports of white smoke coming from the aircraft.
Although six fire engines and two ambulances responded to the scene, no fire was detected, and all 276 passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
The incident occurred around 7:40 am local time (2240 GMT) when the flight landed at Tokyo's Narita Airport. A Narita city fire official confirmed that white smoke was reported from the plane's left engine, prompting the emergency response. However, after over an hour of observation, firefighters found no signs of fire and subsequently left the scene.
