Equity Group has named Moses Okoth Nyabanda the Acting Managing Director of Equity Bank Kenya following Gerald Warui's early retirement.
Warui, who has contributed significantly to the bank in various capacities, including operations, customer service, and human resources, steps down after a distinguished tenure.
Nyabanda, who previously held the position of Chief Finance and Strategy Execution Officer at Equity Group, brings extensive experience to his new role.
Before joining Equity, he was the Managing Director and Country Senior Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Rwanda and part of the PwC Eastern Africa leadership team.
Equity Bank highlights Nyabanda's strong leadership skills, strategic insight, and successful track record in driving business growth and delivering impactful solutions across Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, and the United Kingdom. His official appointment is pending approval from the Central Bank of Kenya.
