One person died after the boat he was traveling in capsized in the Indian Ocean.
Witnesses stated one person is still missing after the incident near Kinondo in Msambweni, Kwale County.
According to accounts, at least four individuals were recovered from the sunken boat.
The boat allegedly became stuck on a reef before being battered by fierce seas in the early morning.
Strong winds are blowing in several portions of the coastal region and the Indian Ocean, and inhabitants are asked to exercise caution at sea.
