State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohamed has vehemently denied claims that President William Ruto offered lawyer Morara Kebaso a government job.
Kebaso made the allegations during an appearance on Citizen TV's *JKLive* show hosted by Jeff Koinange. He claimed that after his critical commentary on government projects gained traction online, he was contacted by individuals close to the President, followed by a personal call from Ruto himself with a job offer.
Kebaso declined the offer, citing concerns about corruption within the government. He explained that he preferred to continue his private business rather than risk compromising his integrity by joining the administration.

"The government is already overcrowded with brilliant minds, but I fear the pressure to engage in corrupt activities would be too great," Kebaso said.
In a surprising twist, Mohamed called into the live show to refute Kebaso's story, dismissing it as a fabrication. He expressed disbelief that Kebaso would lie on national television, insisting that no such call from the President ever occurred.
Despite his denial, Mohamed praised Kebaso’s efforts in holding the government accountable but urged him to remain truthful in his endeavors.
Mohamed also clarified that many of the projects highlighted by Kebaso were initiated under the previous administration, and President Ruto is committed to completing them. Kebaso, however, stood by his claims, suggesting that Mohamed might not be fully aware of the President's conversations.
He also challenged Mohamed to focus on more significant national issues, particularly the alleged misappropriation of public funds in government projects.
