Jubilee Party Secretary General Hon. Jeremiah Kioni has reacted to President William Ruto's launch of Raila Odinga's bid for the African Union Commission (AUC) chairpersonship at State House on Wednesday.

In a video, Kioni was seen wearing a cap emblazoned with "Sufuria Revolution Movement," a nickname given to him during protests organized by Hon. Raila Odinga when Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition leaders took to the streets to contest Ruto's presidential victory.

Kioni has embraced the nickname and is now using it as a prominent Azimio leader. He expressed skepticism about Ruto's support for Raila's AUC bid, suggesting that Ruto's actions were more about gaining favor in Nyanza ahead of the 2027 elections rather than genuinely backing Raila.

Kioni doesn't believe Raila has a real chance of winning the AUC chairperson election.
