Dubai has emerged as the favorite destination for long-term remote workers under the Nomad remote visa program, followed by Abu Dhabi.

In a report released by the Savills Executive Nomad Index 2024, Dubai was named the favorite destination for the second year in a row, and Abu Dhabi took second place down from fourth place.

The report attributed this success to favorable climates, high quality of life, the establishment of prime residential markets, and exceptional transport systems and facilities, which have played a pivotal role in boosting the workers' personal and professional lives.

“We’ve seen a real focus on creating a lively business environment where there are plenty of opportunities to grow, build networks and make lifelong connections.”

The nomad visa program allows workers to live and work in a foreign country longer than a normal tourist visa.

Other cities on the list include Malaga, Spain, Miami, USA, Lisbon, Portugal, Barcelona, Spain, Palma, Spain, Barbados, Algarve, Portugal, and Saint Lucia.

New entrants to the 2024 index include Palermo (22nd) and South Africa’s Cape Town (17th), Grenada (11th), Ball (12th), and San Josè.

Kelcie Sellers, Associate Director, Savills World Research, stated that cities worldwide need to revitalize their healthcare and educational facilities following the upsurge in people traveling and relocating to the 25 destinations.
