KeNHA has issued a warning concerning a widely shared image that contains false information. The Kenya National Highways Authority urged the public to verify details from official sources and avoid spreading misinformation.

Director General Kung'u Ndung'u's photo caption made reference to the Premier Expressway beneficiaries in Nairobi.

The 27-kilometer roadway was put into service in 2022, a few months before Eng. Kung'u Ndung'u was given the job.

The China Road and Bridge Corporation's (CRBC) Kenyan subsidiary, Moja Expressway, is in charge of managing the road, which was constructed using a public-private partnership approach.

The route, which has gained popularity among drivers, has so far amassed billions in toll revenue, which go toward paying back the Chinese loan that was utilized to finance its development.

Online media outlet Kenyans.co.ke declared that the message was FALSE because it didn't come from their systems.

According to section 23 of the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act (the CMCA), publishing false material that is likely to damage someone's reputation is illegal.
