Police in Mwingi Sub-county are investigating an incident in which unknown assailants burnt a teacher's house, leaving him homeless in Kitui East Sub-County.
Silvester Mwendwa was not injured, as he was at work on Wednesday when he was called and told his house had been set ablaze.
"I hurried home to try and salvage the situation, but I found the entire house and all my belongings had been razed," Mwendwa said.
He called for justice, saying it was wrong that the culprit was still at large.
Confirming the incident, Muruana sub-location Assistant Chief Jamleck Mbai said investigations were launched after the victim reported the incident.
