President Samia Suluhu Hassan has expressed sadness and sorrow following the death of Tanzania’s Famous Radio Presenter, Khadija Shaibu alias ‘Dida’ (42) who passed away on Friday in Dar es Salaam.
The Head of State sent her condolences to the family, friends and workers of Wasafi Media Group for losing their beloved one who died at the Muhimbili hospital while undergoing treatments.
“May our gracious God strengthen you during this period. Indeed, to God we belong, and to Him we shall return,” the President stated on X.
Information on her death was confirmed by the producer of the ‘Mashamsham show’ Majid Mbinga, a program which she was hosting while at Wasafi Media.
The iconic presenter worked with Times FM before joining Wasafi Media Group.
It is a tragic moment following the sudden passing of Tanzanian media personality and radio presenter Khadijah Shaibu, popularly known as Didah.
Reports circulating on social media indicate that Didah Shaibu lost her life today, October 4, 2024, under unexpected circumstances. Her colleague, Maulid Kitenge, has confirmed her death.
The alarming rate at which young lives are being lost calls for urgent attention. We must investigate the causes of such premature deaths and implement preventive measures, as prevention is always better than cure.
