Residents of Suna East Constituency have voiced concerns about their Member of Parliament, Junet Mohamed, alleging neglect on critical community issues.

Many residents expressed frustration over the lack of electricity, with numerous households still without power despite campaign promises.

Barack Ogaja, a retired chief in the area, criticized the MP. He pointed out that electricity connectivity was a key promise during the election campaign, yet many homes remain unconnected.

He also highlighted an ongoing issue with cattle theft, claiming the region has seen little support from the local leadership.

Another resident, Sally Mbone, urged the MP to address discrimination in the allocation of bursaries for local students. She alleged that some learners are excluded from funding because of their parents’ political views.

In response, Junet Mohamed dismissed some of these claims as politically motivated, assuring residents that electricity connectivity was in progress and that households would soon be connected.
