Prominent Ugandan opposition leader Kizza Besigye will remain in detention for another week after his controversial arrest from Nairobi.
The court martial trial was extended on Monday to December 10, 2024, to allow Martha Karua, the main counsel, to get a temporary practice license from the Uganda Council.
Besigye was apprehended in Nairobi by Uganda operatives before being transported to Uganda and imprisoned in a military cell.
