A fire broke out in Vietnam Village, Mukuru Kwa Njenga, Nairobi, causing significant damage to a residential area.

According to the Kenya Red Cross, one individual was hospitalized, while four others sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

Emergency response teams, including the Nairobi City County Fire Brigade, swiftly contained the blaze with assistance from community members.

“The fire has been contained thanks to the Nairobi City County Fire Brigade and local residents,” the Kenya Red Cross confirmed.

An assessment revealed that approximately 70 households and 10 businesses were affected by the incident. Efforts are ongoing to support those impacted by the fire.
