Addressing a gathering in Taita Taveta on Sunday, the president dismissed criticism, emphasizing his focus on fulfilling his promises to Kenyans.

“I am a man on a mission. I cannot afford to retreat or surrender because this country must change,” he asserted.
President Ruto expressed confidence in his administration's progress, highlighting achievements over his first two years in office. According to him, the cost of essential commodities has decreased, and the country is on a path to economic recovery.

“We are witnessing signs of transformation. The prices of basic goods and fuel have consistently dropped over the last five months,” Ruto stated.
He further outlined his ambitious plans, which include extending electricity to 7,000 households, improving living standards through the Housing Scheme, and implementing universal healthcare via the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF).
Ruto urged Kenyans to disregard critics he described as "negative forces" aiming to derail the country’s progress. “Kenya will move forward despite the naysayers,” he remarked.

The president acknowledged challenges, including allegations of corruption and controversial tax laws, which have sparked public discontent. Nonetheless, he assured citizens of his commitment to addressing these issues, noting that changes within his administration, such as forming a more inclusive government, aim to bolster reform efforts.
President Ruto remains optimistic about achieving his vision for Kenya, crediting resilience and divine guidance as key to driving the nation’s transformation.
