The Bishop of a small church in Ndiru village, Kokoko Sub location, Homa Bay County, has been arrested for reportedly engaging in sexual intercourse with his biological daughter.

According to the residents, the cleric was caught having sexual relations with one of the peasants' daughters, a mother of three.

Rangwe Sub County police chief Magdaline Chebet said they received information from concerned members of the public that the bishop was having sexual relations with the daughter, who was married and separated from her husband.

According to Chebet, officers from Ndiru police station, commanded by the OCS, went to the clergy's home and detained him following the public outcry.

The bishop was transported to Ndiru police station and jailed, awaiting an inquiry.

The bishop's daughter was questioned following a medical examination before being released.
