Juja Member of Parliament, George Koimburi, has been discovered injured and abandoned in a coffee plantation in Kiambu County.

His family has confirmed that he is currently receiving medical care at Plainsview Hospital, located near Ruiru town.

According to eyewitnesses, the MP was allegedly abducted by unidentified individuals outside a church in Mugutha, Kiambu, on Sunday. His wife, Ann Koimburi, sustained injuries during the violent altercation.

Security camera footage from the scene shows Koimburi being forcibly taken away in a silver Subaru Forester with civilian number plates.

While the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has denied any involvement in the incident, the agency did acknowledge that Koimburi has been under investigation since Friday.
