On Wednesday, a 39-year-old pastor from Mozambique starved to death after attempting a 40-day dry fast like Jesus.
Francisco Barajah, the founder of the Santa Trindade Evangelical Church, had completed 25 days of fasting before he was rushed to the hospital by his family members because his health condition was worsening. barajah, a French teacher in the town of Messica, was rushed to the hospital when he could not even stand on his own. he was diagnosed with acute anaemia and organ failure because he had lost so much weight.
According to a BBC report, doctors' efforts to hydrate the pastor with serum and liquid fluids were futile as he had lost so much weight. He passed on a few hours after being admitted to the hospital.
According to his congregation, fasting for long periods was very common for the pastor, and that one instance ended badly. The brother of the deceased, however, believes that his brother died from low blood pressure.

In other news, social media users were shocked after a video emerged of a pastor carrying an AK47 during a church service. The pastor, identified as House on the Rock church Pastor Uche Aigbe, is located in Abuja, Nigeria.
According to congregation members, the pastor carried a gun because the church's theme for the day was to be on your guard and stand firm in the faith and be courageous and strong. Pastor Aigbe began by saying he "came prepared" to face any trouble and warned the faithful not to fall for rogue preachers who extort people in the name of prophecy.
It is, however, not clear whether the rifle was loaded. The Nigerian Police Force has stated the incident, stating that the pastor will be investigated.
According to the Force's Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, AK-47 rifles are explicitly banned in the West African state, and only certain law enforcement officers are permitted to carry them.
