The Vatican consecrated a ceremonial silver cross containing pieces from the crucifixion used to crucify Jesus Christ on Wednesday, ahead of its usage in King Charles III's coronation early next month.
Pope Francis presented the two shards of the "True Cross," one 5 millimetres small and the other 1 centimetre long, as a gift to honour the king and his wife Camilla's coronation as queen on May 6.
They've been shaped into a cross and integrated into the overall design, which can be seen behind a rose crystal gemstone.
Andrew John, Archbishop of Wales, blessed the new Cross of Wales in front of dignitaries and parishioners at a service at Llandudno, north Wales.

It will now be transported to London and will lead the coronation parade.
The cross, according to the archbishop, "speaks to our Christian faith, heritage, resources, and commitment to sustainability."
He also stated they are overjoyed that it will be utilized for the first time to guide Their Majesties Charles and Camilla into Westminster Abbey for the coronation ceremony.
To commemorate the hundredth of the Anglican Church in Wales, Charles bestowed the Cross of Wales.
It took two years for designer Michael Lloyd to make and was made of recycled silver bullion, Welsh timber, and slate.
