During an interview with Nicholas Kioko, Jeff's girlfriend, Faith Wairimu, shared her dissatisfaction with the progress of Jeff Mwathi's case. Based on the DCI report, she revealed that the narrative surrounding Jeff's death had shifted from suicide. Despite having several pieces of evidence, she claimed that the DCI had not yet provided justice for Jeff.
Jeff Mwathi's girlfriend categorically said DJ Faxto is to blame and went ahead to wish him a painful death more than what Jeff went through.
Faith also mentioned that she had stayed in contact with Jeff throughout the night he passed away while he was having fun with DJ Faxto and his friends. He kept her informed about everything and sent pictures and videos of every location they visited that evening.

The following morning, Faith received a call from Mutanu, a friend who claimed to have spent the night with Jeff, asking if he had arrived home safely.
Concerned about Jeff's safety and unable to reach him by phone, Faith confided in Mutanu. In response, Mutanu promised to contact DJ Faxto, who was with Jeff, to find out his whereabouts.
According to Faith, Mutanu later mentioned Jeff's connection to Kikuyu singer Samidoh and claimed that Samidoh was Jeff's uncle. It was then revealed that Jeff had gotten into a fight the previous night while bragging about being related to Samidoh.
As per Wairimu's account, Jeff seldom spoke about Samidoh and only did so if asked. She suggested that if anyone had provoked him, it was likely why he bragged about being related to the singer. Faith later found out that Jeff had been reported missing.
After obtaining DJ Faxtos' contact information, she contacted him. However, Faith claimed that he was impolite to her, instructing her to wait for the police to contact her and inform her about what had happened. It was later discovered that Jeff had passed away.
