Trans Nzoia County has integrated Safaricom’s myCounty Application platform to digitise County services.
Safaricom Rift Valley Regional Manager Charles Munyororo noted that the objective of the myCounty App is to enable devolved units to digitise all their services in one place, providing a single citizen access channel.
During the Memorandum of Understanding signing, Minyoro noted that the MyCounty app provides individuals and organisations with a convenient point to access, manage, and pay for all county services.
Further, he noted that the service will be available for all 47 counties as a smartphone app, web portal, and shortcode and will integrate current and upcoming services.

“Some of the key services offered by myCounty App include payment for county services, revenue management systems, a citizen reporting and engagement tool, online radio channels, updates on agriculture, health issues, utility bills, and Small and Medium Enterprises SME programmes,” he added.
The app will provide key county and emergency services, including requests for fire extinguishers, ambulances, police, and more, at the tap of a button.
Trans Nzoia Governor Natembeya expressed gratitude toward Safaricom, describing the giant company as one of the important local development partners that was fully supporting devolution.
“We are delighted to have Safaricom joining us at this critical moment. Through this partnership, Trans-Nzoia residents will receive effective, easily accessible, and citizen-focused services,” noted.
Natembeya stressed on the importance of collaborations between county governments and development partners.
