Brookside Dairy Limited has resolved a defamation claim debt owed to Nyali MP Mohamed Ali for Ksh.579,126.
"As a precaution, and in the event that the ex-parte orders are not granted, we hereby enclose our cheque for KShs.579,126/- towards payment of the amount stated in the said proclamation." "This payment is made without prejudice to the said application and, in any case, without admission of the validity of the said proclamation," the corporation wrote to Mohamed Ali's lawyers.
In order to recoup the loan, Ali planned to confiscate the firm's assets, including dairy cows.
Brookside Dairy Limited filed an application this week to prevent M/s Fisra Auctioneers from auctioning them.
In October 2022, the High Court dismissed a slander complaint filed against Ali by Brookside Dairy Limited.
Brookside had filed a lawsuit against Ali for allegedly encouraging the public to create economic and commercial harm to the company.
