The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition claims that Hon. Antony Oluoch, a lawmaker from Mathare, was kidnapped on Thursday, July 20, in the late evening while filling up his car at a Shell gas station close to Nakumatt Junction on Ngong Road.
The coalition said on social media that he was driven off in a car with Tanzanian license plates.
The coalition did note, though, that it is still being determined where lawmaker Oluoch has been taken.
"Mathare MP, Hon Antony Oluoch, was abducted while filling at the Shell station on Ngong Road close to Nakumatt Junction in a car with TZ license plates. Around the site, several Subaru vehicles could be seen. Where he has been transported, though, is still unknown. Through a tweet on Thursday night, the coalition promised to keep everyone informed.

Mr Oluoch is one of several leaders and supporters of Azimio la Umoja who have been detained during the ongoing three-day anti-government protests for lower living expenses.
Raila Odinga, the head of Azimio la Umoja, has urged the government to free the detained figures and his supporters.
Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, who was charged with Bunge la Mwananchi President Calvince Okoth nicknamed Gaucho at Milimani Law court today (July 20), is one of the leaders who have been detained.
Ken Chonga, a member of parliament from Kilifi South, Teddy Mwambire, the speaker of Kilifi County, and the budget officers for the Nairobi County Assembly Wilfred Odallo (Mabatini), Redson Onyango (Ngei), and Anthony Otsula were also detained.
In addition, unknown assailants kidnapped Maurice Ogeta, Odinga's bodyguard, and Dennis Onyango, Raila's spokesperson, both from their homes.
