Nine pupils picking fruits from Keteng Primary School in Nandi Hills were hospitalized on Wednesday after falling off a tree within the school compound.

One of the branches the pupils had stepped on broke, sending them down where other pupils under the tree were also injured.

Some of the students received treatment and were later discharged. One is being monitored at the hospital after suffering a significant injury.

Richard Chepkwony, the medical director of Nandi Hills County Hospital, who confirmed the occurrence, claims that the children are in good condition and their medication is working.
