Responding on Twitter to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) arrest order, the Senator indicated that he has met with the leadership of parents and agreed on the way forward.
There are rumours all over Eldoret Town that DCI Officers have been looking for me the whole night. As a law abiding citizen, I am available once summoned. I have met with the leadership of parents and agreed on the way foward as per their press statement issued last evening.

Police want Mandago and three other top Uasin Gishu County officials for prosecution over the county’s scholarship scam.
The other officials are Joseph Kipkemoi Maritim, Meshak Rono and Joshua Kipkemoi Lelei.
This is after the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution consented to prosecuting the officials in the saga.
Charges of conspiracy to commit felony, theft, and abuse of office are expected to be brought against them.
They are accused of planning to steal Sh1 billion from a Kenya Commercial Bank account located in Eldoret that was established under the Uasin Gishu Education Trust Fund and used to pay for students participating in the Uasin Gishu County abroad Education Program's abroad university fees.
The detectives in charge of the case claimed they made unsuccessful attempts to contact the authorities who were wanted.
