Capital FM has announced the passing of a true icon in the world of sports commentary—Sean Cardovillis.
This distinguished sports commentator, who was a part of the Capital FM family, peacefully departed this morning at his residence in Westlands. His family has been duly notified."
According to reports, he experienced a collapse on the staircase just outside his residence. As of now, the cause of his passing remains undetermined.

“It is shocking, I still can’t believe Sean is no more,” said Danny Munyi, Programmes Director at Capital FM, “We have lost an icon in Sports”.
Sean became well-known both domestically and abroad thanks to his compelling sports commentary and contagious enthusiasm for the game.
"At Capital FM, we honor the person who gave sports a physical presence for the millions of our listeners around the globe. Cardovillis launched the well-known Saturday Music and Sports show while working as a sports news presenter," Bernard Momanyi, the editorial director of Capital FM, stated.
“We have lost a legend. Sean’s passion and dedication to bringing the world of sports to our listeners was unmatched and his legacy in the world of sports journalism will forever remain an integral part of our newsroom’s identity.” he added.
His last interview was with multiple World Champion Faith Kipyegon, which is scheduled to air in today’s show.
Capital FM passed condolences to the family following this devastating report.
