Siaya Senator Oburu Oginga has taunted the ODM renegade MPs to quit the party and run for re-election if they believe they are "men enough."
If they thought they were famous, he challenged them to step down and ask for a new mandate from the people rather than flaunting their popularity.
Oburu questioned why people not afraid to run in a by-election went to court to have the ODM party dismiss them.
Ochilo Ayacko, the governor of Migori, expressed similar views when he urged ODM leader Raila Odinga to rethink his decision to pardon some rebel MPs, arguing that they, too, needed to be subjected to discipline.

He urged the public to stop allowing such individuals to continue defaming Raila Odinga and the ODM party, saying they should not be given any more room to follow their pattern.
